srtnc asked:

I am planning to buy laptop and i want to use it for music production. I want to know what specifications i should have inorder to make music without any problem. Being mobile is important for me thats why i am focused on laptops? But are laptops good choice for Music Production??

Will these specs be enough to make professional quality music on a laptop?

Specs:
———–
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz
2 GB DDR Ram
120 GB 5400 rpm Harddisk
667Mhz Front-side bus

Or should i go for PC that has Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz,
7200 rpm Harddisk, 800Mhz Front-side bus and 4 GB Ram?

Whats your suggestions?

get the fastest thing you can and slap as much memory as you can afford into it.

it takes more than specs to make professional quality music.

you said being mobile is important, what other options do you have?

    macbook pro.

I don’t know if i would want to buy a notebook dominantly using it for music production. i would only use it for side objectives. You just never know how much heat your software use will develop. With a lot of heat you may wear out the notebook sooner than you think.

They both sound good , the desktop has more ram and Space. If u get a laptop its also good. If u get a 1 with Vista(OS) install u can use a USB drive as a memory because of the new Features U can get a 5 gb USB and use 5gb ram on it.. THINK ABOUT THIS.
