For college I would recommend one notebook per class. I wouldn’t bring a laptop, as you tend to get distracted easier

Well, I’d use a notebook on your first day, you don’t want to be the odd one out.. But I guess that could work either way.. Surely you can do a little research and find out.. Eg asking people who are/have been there.. or get in touch with the collage?

You don’t have to use a computer, and in some classes the professors don’t like the clattering of the keys. So, it varies. If you are more comfortable taking notes in paper, go ahead.
PS all those computers are product placements by the computer companies–they pay a fee to feature the product!

Depends on what class you’re taking notes for.
Since you’re not a fast typer, I’d recommend you NOT to use laptops to take notes…. stick with paper and pencil unless you like asking the professor to keep repeating important concepts, or copying notes from your classmates.
good luck
PS. Try use a tape recorder if you can’t jot down the instruct/class’s key points fast enough.

i just use a paper notebook. most people at my school dont use computers because its hard to take notes on them. writing out math equations, drawing molecules structure, making diagrams, etc are hard to do quickly on a computer.
