madpashon asked:

I’m in my early 40’s and changing careers. I am going back to school, (going to a 2 yr college, with hopes of transferring to a 4 yr school) and i want to make sure i can have a good career in computers without having a strong math background. I’m good with the internet and MS WORD (i’m NOT trying to do secretarial work, though), but i want to learn more. If i’m going back to school at this age, i don’t want to struggle once i get out and begin working again. I’m not trying to get rich, but i am trying to at least live comfortably without struggling. Thanks in advance for your help.

as long as you are good with logic and are ready to work heard to learn you don’t need a strong math background for a bsaic career in computers. you can do graphic design, IT work, basically anything. at this point math is reserved for v. advanced programming.

If you have a good logic you study computer science and be a programmer, no need to mathmatical background but if you have it is better

there are 12 month computer trade schools to go to and at the same time go to collage for mathematics for 12 month semester which is a few hours a week.i’m 42 to and i wouldn’t wast my time in a collage at my age for 6 years.plus the cost is around $25,000.
