Would the yr 11’s students of 2009 be receiving the Australian governments free laptops to students?

I have just started yr 11, and am wondering if the Australian governments free laptops to high school students will involve the yr 11’s of 2009. I still think they should, as we would be able to use the laptops for vital study time for our VCE.

I’m American and we have laptops in our school. And couple of days ago some teachers from Australia actually came in to check out what we were doing with them and stuff. So you might get them. But actually the ones we get are not free we had to pay $60, but that’s not that bad I guess. I am also in 11th grade. Do you have any idea what kind of laptops you will get if you do get one?
